How We Do Fiber Splicing and Testing
When it comes to new fiber termination, we have you covered from A to Z.
Our process includes:
- Prepping and cutting the fiber optic cable to length
- Placing cable into its closure
- Arc fusion of mass ribbon, loose tube, single mode and multi mode fiber
- Testing of fibers via uni and bi directional OTDR, OLTS and Power Meter
If there’s an issue with an existing fiber system, we also offer fiber testing and repair. By launching light along the lines, we are able to determine where a fiber is damaged. If a fiber is damaged at the home, it will only impact that connection. When the main cable is damaged, it causes a wider-spread network outage. Fiber shooting allows us to find and fix the issue quickly.
